30 Days of Storytelling

In an attempt to write more and also to enter a journey of self reflection, I joined a 30 days of storytelling challenge. Each day, I’ll post one blog with a guidance from journaling prompts.

A collection of book reviews I wrote over the years. Got a book you want me to review? Book recommendations are always welcomed, contact me and I’ll review the book for you.

Book Review: Men Without Women – Haruki Murakami

Despite the monotonous subject and recurring type of character and theme in all Murakami’s book, I begin to understand why I keep getting hooked with all his books.

Review Buku: Rafilus – Budi Darma.

Sedikit berbeda dengan fiksi lain, fiksi absurd tidak mengikuti formula struktur tradisional yang memiliki ‘awal konflik, ‘titik klimaks’, dan ‘penyelesaian’.

Review Buku: Raden Mandasia si Pencuri Daging Sapi – Yusi Avianto Pareanom.

Buku ini luar biasa dengan segala kompleksitasnya, kepiawaian Yusi Avianto Pareanom si penulis dalam menjahit cerita dan mendongengi pembaca, dan rasa sejarah nusantara yang membuat nostalgik.

Blog Updates

At night, you would probably went back to Jackson Heights and eat Thai foods or Korean foods, bought some wine or soju and headed back to her home. The street of Jackson Heights were starting to get quiet, but your stomach is full, your heart is warm, and you were holding her hands - and you would be happy, for wherever you are in the world, as long as you're holding your hand you know the world is such a beautiful place to live in.
So this is my plan: #30DaysofStorytelling. Writing has always been therapeutic for me. I love the time I spent readings, researching, making myself a cup of coffee, lighting up my cigarette and pour my worries into writing. There's a moment of silence inside my head, wherever I am, when I decided to write. That moment of silence is my safe haven. The time and place where I could converse with myself and pour out my feelings without having to fear judgment.
"This is who I am, I am unapologetically filled with fire and passion and an endless yearning to live life to the fullest. I will cry with the world and I will laugh with the world, and maybe just maybe with my passion I can make the world just a slightly better place."
